Oh and extra brownie points for nominating the pilot ... not me ... but I have acted as ground crew and ballast for him in a balloon or two ...

Pair of Cohen Condor's or Stolaero's..? not sure, can't remember the wingtip configuration

I'll give you that - they are both Condors - and I can't recall the difference between the two ... but I know that these two are condors flying out of the St Mary's strip

Nearest I could find was the Mustang. The photo I had of the Condor had the engine mounted behind the pilot with a pusher prop, and did not have the ailerons.

I think the Stolaero came first, then the Condor.

 

A couple of fellows I knew at Raymond Terrace/Medowie had one of each back in the early 80's. They were fairly similar.

Well the two in flight are condors - see below ;-)

Well yes I'll give you the 1970's ... but even then it was a copy/replica based on a 1920's original.

 

I'll let it run till Wednesday before I post a pic of the original - then all you technically capable ones can internet search the pic to find it ;-)
