kasper
The DFW is a tad bigger than the one i posted - it was 4ft tall, 11ft long and 17ft across ... and yes the original 1920's one flew - still tracking down the 1970's one to check if it flew. kasper
This one should test you ... And yes, both the 1920's original and the 1970's 'replica/copy' flew. Performance of the 1920's one was at best minimal, 16hp and 54min to climb to 4,000ft was rather leisurely, the 35hp 1970's one presumably did slightly better. Hint for photo crawling to find it - the 1970's aircraft still exsits and is in a museum ...

If you think Red and I are bad at posting other peoples oddities (and identifying them) you should see how bizarre are the doodles of things I'd LIKE to make and fly - sort of makes Burt Rutan look conservative

kasper
LOL well done. The 1920's one is the DePichoff Aviette, the 1970's one in the picture though remains un-named and its NOT aviette ... To reduce frustration I'll post name on Monday if not found before ;-)

Good enough. You found the plane in the museum in the US - it's really called the Lane FlyCycle ... built by a high school group in tech and the cycle bit is the wheels are from a Honda Cub
