Deperdussin monocoque- very unusual upper wire frames and the undercart legs mark it out. Plus it was one of only a handful with the very large nose dome on the engine.

Right again, Kaspar. I'll have to find some much more obscure aeroplanes!

These pix come from my first flight book, which I received over fifty years ago. If you check out my avatar (my D918) you'll see the Deperdussin made quite an impression.

Wasn't sure where to put this one..."So you think you've got parking problems?"

That load was probably only a fraction of the daily output of US industry. The other team had no hope of matching it.

Saw the one at Mareeba a few months ago..... Bob

God's own plane, an Angel 44, designed and built by prayer and donations by a bunch of Missionaries specifically for Mission work. pope.gif.f606ef85899745c40c103dff0622d758.gif

Wonder how it will go now being owned and built by Athiest Chinese ... 050_sad_angel.gif.66bb54b0565953d04ff590616ca5018b.gif

The Lord is my co-pilot. I often call on His assistance during crosswind landings in turbulent conditions. Many's the time I've called his name when a gust has hit the lower wing just as I flare ' "Jesus Christ!!!!!!"
