Hi Has anybody connected there Garmin 296 Audio to the Microair Radio Audio input Iam told you need to reduce input from GPS ???

No, but isnt the audio input designed for MP3 etc?

 

In which case higher signal from GPS might be too much. Ive found the Alerts from 296 a bit random too, usually alerts arrival, decent etc etc, but not for every location.

 

Also I can hear the alerts over the engine and with headsets on!!

Yes it is to connect Trannie or MP3 player but on talking to Microair there suggestion was place in line a 100nm Capaciter any takes as to :vis::faint:is this Correct

James,

 

If the audio output is too much power for the radio input, you could try joining the brown positive wire and the orange negative wire from the GPS data cable to the headset output of the radio, and see if that works.

 

You would have to make sure that you have the correct negative and positive wires to join into that goes to the headsets.
