lazerin Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Just wondering, if you hold a RAA licence, are you able to fly a VH registered aircraft? Let's just say it's the exact same type that you've been flying under your RAA licence but this particular one has a VH registration. Conversely, if someone has a PPL/CPL, can they under any circumstance pilot a RAA registered aircraft? From what I've read, this is a no? Not even if it's an aircraft that they're familiar and have flown in?
Guest pelorus32 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 G'day Lazerin, the answer is NO. If you want to fly a VH a/c then you need a PPL or CPL or ATPL or be a Student Pilot doing your stuff under the rules. If you want to fly an RAA a/c then you must have an RAA pilot certificate or student pilot certificate or be under instruction. Regards Mike
lazerin Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Thanks Mike, that's all I wanted to know
