  1. Thanks for the replies. I'm hoping that I'm not the only one interested in microlight triking in Tassie as I'd like to get in touch with some current pilots to help convince the other half that microlighting isn't a death wish. I drive past the Sandfly strip everyday going into Hobart to work. Sometimes see a Rotax powered ultralight cruising around the Huon Valley that I presume is flying from Sandfly. I've been looking around for other strips to fly from once I've got a licence and a microlight. Looks like there's one at Glendevie about half way between Geeveston and Dover.

Not sure who owns it though.

  2. Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I'm interested in getting in touch with some trike pilots in Tasmania. I used to fly hang gliders 20 years ago in NZ and did a bit of flying in my Dad's Rotax 337 powered Thruster too. I've had enough of being grounded and I'm keen on learning more about triking as it looks like a good way for an ex hangie to get back into the sky. I live nearby Hobart and also travel to St Helens every month or so. Look forward to hearing from someone.

    Cheers
