Haven't used 574 but this one is the old Aviation 4 gasket goo,MR GC4 which is the hard setting type,meaning no flex at the joint.

It's important to use the correct gasket maker for the particular joint.Hopefully an Engineer chimes in here?

Go for a fly in a Glider,I was pretty apprehensive when my instructor told me we were going to do some spins on our next flight,turns out once that little ball of fear had departed i looked forward to doing them which led to PPL and an aerobatic endorsement.

That's great news,I took my first flight from LT Traralgon back in 1960 in a 172 and took a tour of the works when they were producing ag planes.

So Gen 4 still can't match Rotax in overall terms i gather,i sold a 230 because of the constant verbal crap associated with ownership,

pity as it was a joy to fly otherwise.
