Landing areas on Mornington Peninsula

Perfect. Any knowledge of the owners. I want to land a Sapphire there if possible. Will be moving from WA with my Sapphire to live at Rye. Thanks so much for your reply. Roger. -
Does anyone know of landing ground suitable for Sapphire on the Mornington Peninsula, not counting Tyabb or Tooradin of course. Need your help.

Chris, The previous owner of my Sapphire was about your weight and no problems. Steve Dumnesy who makes the bits and has one for himself is not a light guy he tells me. I have had tall people try to get into the A/C without success (6ft 2") Tall. Regards Rags

G,day Chris. Sapphire is very forgiving I find, but very slippery and need to set up well out on final. I have found a good L2 to help me on the way and have only really had tailwheel problems. I have flown the Pawnee and Chipmunk a lot in the past, so no stranger to tailwheel. I wish I had electric start and may do the add on later. I am only 75kg, so in the process of adding some weight forward to balance out better. Regards Rags

G'day all, I am a Sapphire owner (6 months) and fly out of Bindoon Abandoned with the Superlight Aircraft Club Inc. I work at the RAAF Pearce Air Base and live just 3nm from the Base.(Look down from the hill onto the runway) I am interested in anyone who has plans or ideas to improve the Sapphire Tailwheel assembly, I seem to keep bending mine over and the wheel needs to be pneumatic. Interested to hear from any Sapphire owner for tips on any aspect of the Aircraft.
