Hi, so do you guys also have metric nuts and bolts for aircraft?
Is there a web site or how do I order?
Cheers

Hi DownunderI have the tundra tyres. They will fit on standard main rims but require a different "front end".I know of one foxbat where the main only were changed. Seemed to work fine.It is a factory option.

Can I ask what size are the tyres and/or rims and what brand are they?
Cheers

Thanks for that BrianHi Robert, Here are some pics of the mount that I use. It is mounted to the top of the engine where the crankshaft seal mounts, the accelerometer is central and the inductive pickup is to the side. Take your time and good luck it is very sensitive and reaching for perfection can be frustrating but once you get the hang of it you will get results quicker. I use stick on wheel weights on the spinner flange edge where the screws go in and as a guide I have found that 3 grams will give you about .1 ips correction. If after your first measurement you are getting near 1 ips take your prop off and check for static balance first as the closer you can have everything statically balanced it makes it easier to dynamically balance.Brian Ill try and make a bracket tomorrow, I may have to turn it around as my prop may be closer to the motor than your 160
Will let you know how I get on, could be a couple of weeks before I get it sorted though.
Cheers

Thanks for the pics, Ill see if any of these look like they could work on a Jabiru engine, Jabiru engines don't have a lot of accessible bolts to work from. I had noticed that brilin_air had made one specifically for a Jabiru, so was a bit interested where he mounted it.Here are the brackets...the sensors are mounted on my Rotax bracket Cheers

HiFinally made the bracket to fit the balancer and tried it today, started with .08 ips out of balance which according to the book is not bad, but I had a play and got it down to .02 ips, great to use and easy once you have worked out how much weight and where to put it.BrianSorry to bother you on such an old post, BUT I ave borrowed a Dyna-Vibe and was wondering where you fitted it to the Jabiru engine? I noted that someone had sent you a photo of their bracket, would appreciate it if you still had it.
Cheers

Hi
Thanks for all the comments.
as for the experience
Wasn't really nervous as I was not aware until it was time to do it, did all the things that I had been taught, was pretty busy with that, was noticeable that the plane was a little lighter and flew a little quicker, wasn't the best landing that I had done, but not scary, seemed safe enough.
Its only after that I realised what I had done and the pulse rate was high, don't think I will forget that.
Thanks Nev, I will NEVer forget the first solo

Had wanted to learn to fly for many years, only started this year, have been going nearly every morning, today had my first solo, how great is that feeling.
Now look forward to refining the skills. So much fun.

Hi, my name is Robert, Have wanted to learn to fly for 30 years, but I am now just starting, so far only a couple of lessons in a Sport Star, loving it
Live in Tasmania, Australia, spend quite a bit of time in Queensland, this is where I have been taking lessons.
Did get the opportunity to visit the Jabiru factory the other day, and was quite impressed, just starting to learn about different planes and licences, e.g.. RAA GA PPL etc
Hope some of my questions can be answered in this forum, not sure if I have enough knowledge to add input, least not for some time
