  1. Everyone asks why? Im an aerial photographer so I cannot fly and photograph at the same time ( without being a bit if a hack) I think I may have found someone yesterday though. We are meeting at Caloundra this morning to see how things go.

  2. Hi David,Fortunately we have hindsight considering both Rob and myself were witness to the silly mistakes made by the previous owners of the Skyfox business. I certainly appreciate your suggestion and any other persons reasonable suggestions. We both know, that is Rob and myself, that overpricing the 'craft will destroy sales so we have to be very careful in considering all costs etc. It is a competitive market and I for one fully appreciate that, so it is paramount to us that we produce an excellent machine without wasting pretty much anything at all be it resources or capital. As for floats, it would be fantastic I agree however regulations have to be adhered to and at first the addition of floats may be a bit difficult to manage, Rob would be better off filling you in on that aspect. I absolutely loved flying the 'fox 'dragger, it was just such a nimble 'craft., this time 'round both the n'wheel and the 'dragger will be even better. Patience grasshopper, patience. cheers Paul:smile:

  3. I don't think that you should make a "thing" of "easy to fly" aircraft. Not one of the recreational aircraft is particularly more difficult to fly than another. The tail draggers are pertinently more difficult to take-off and land than the others, AND THAT'S WHY I recommend that you start your training on a tail-wheel. If you can fly a tail-dragger, you won't have a problem flying anything else, ever. Even recreational flying requires a lot of skill and you will be "more skilled" than the pilot that has been trained on a Bantam that doesn,t even require a IAS indicator on approach. I had experienced co-pilots in the right hand seat and they only use their feet for taxing and breaking. A friend of mine is on crutches for more than a year now because his feet was inactive during a stall. Pilots that haven't flown tail-wheels, (or choppers) has got no nerve connection between their brains and feet while flying, over and out.

  4. Gazelle aircraftHi Adam,

    Welcome to rec flying.

Gazelle's are a great aircraft to start flying and enjoy around the local area.

I did my basic training in the Skyfox which is the tail dragger version, and you can't get a more affordable, enjoyable aircraft.

Secondhand they go for about $35-$40K and cost less than a car to run.

    Good luck

  5. Hi fellow aircraft people,Just taking a bit of a look around. I'm a bit of a Skyfox fan, prefer the 'dragger to the Gazelle. Flew the first VH 'dragger, low tail -LRF, the proto Gazelle -CAL, and a few more. Love a good 3 point with full fan, loathe wheel-ons, sorry all wheel- on lovers. Would love to own a fox dragger one day. cheers.
