  1. Flying 601 XLB

I don't know how old this thread is, but I have a question or 2.As im test Flying t87's 601, can anyone with some serious time in the acft give me a bit of an idea about what its supposed to handle like?

I have done a few flights in it and so far it seems quite nice to fly. Very sensitive in pitch as others have said and quite heavy in roll.

I put it through some clean power off stalls last sortie. Any tips would be great.

    Thanx

Send me an email [email protected] and we can have a chat

    Cheers

What you say is true but if the recreational fliers (pilot's that fly anything for fun)don't act together in some way we might find that we could become burdened by new rules, you only have to look at the ASIC card to see what could happen.

Mo-gas will be the next thing with state governments making the use of ethanol law. As a united group you might be able make a stand.

May be all the groups form a lobby group to act against the Governments??

Or the groups stay separate but form a body like the EAA (USA) which asks as the single voice??

  3. Hi Andy

I think will find now that the magazine is already out sourced and the out sourced editor should be only called a cut and paster as he or she doesn't edit any articles just cut and pastes them into the layout. The RA Aus needs an in house editor who knows about flying and aircraft so the editor can really edit and help members write stories. With a membership as big as the RA Aus they could also start getting some regular writers and pay for stories. The RA Aus needs to stop putting out a magazine that relies only on it's members to write the stories. I also believe that black text on white paper is the best format, I wish the cut and paster would stop with all the coloured pages with text on them, it makes reading very hard.

I had better get off my soapbox

    What do other members think???
