Tell us about your last flight

If your negligent just pay some wanker Lawyer thousands of dollars to represent you and your off! SSSSSSSimple ! Only joking ! I pay thousands of dollars for insurance every year. My public liability insurance company will only pay if I'm not proven negligent, if I'm negligent they don't have to pay up. What's the point of insurance ?

    Here we go again

It's all fun Cookie ! I miss being under instruction.....I found it quite fulfilling learning a new skill every lesson. Good luck and enjoy!
  3. Hi all, Does anyone fly or own a Rans S6 Coyote? I'm looking around to buy my first aircraft and they seem to be reasonably priced, get good reviews on the internet and are easy to fly for a lower hours pilot. Most are kit built -19 rego, any concerns about someone else's build? I know nothing about fabric covered aircraft, are there any draw backs compared to metal? thanks in advance, cheers and Merry Xmas to all !

Sounds like a great trip KC. Most Rans aircraft seem like they are user friendly to build and short build time. Good luck ......enjoy! cheers Butch.

Hi Shane' I live in Heathcote and fly out of Bendigo. I was interested in the plane you purchased when I saw it online but didn't go on with it. Changed my mind about buying a fabric covered plane. You have got a good buy as it's like a new aircraft and have since found out being fabric is no problem. Might see you around in Bendigo or Echuca, I will keep an eye out...would love to come for a ride, thanks Butch

    New Federal Cabinet

A new label is better than the alternative marmalade where the recipe is decided by unions, cooked by an ex recipe writer and advertised cheap. When you pay for it at the register it turns out to be, expensive, a waste of money and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
  8. Agree Kaz, I fly out of YBDG and have heard a few local pilots whingeing about your landing fees. You put on a great lunch and are a friendly bunch! Hope we don't end up like you guys at Bendigo! Part of the attraction of flying to country airports are most are free and friendly....tell that to our local councils.

    Getting licence HOURS?

I agree, learning something new every lesson is great! When you finally achieve your licence you will miss the challenge of having to learn something new. You will also realize how much more you need to learn!
  10. Sorry mate. Took it the wrong way ! Just think it's pointless...you either take the risk or you don't. cheers
  11. I'm not trolling....If you want to fly across Bass Straight safely buy a bloody JET. I wouldn't fly across in a single engine Aircraft as long as my freckle points South. Why ask the question if you don't have the money to purchase an Aircraft fit for the job and if not aren't prepared to take the risk in a singe engine Aircraft ?
  12. I can't believe this crap thread is still going!
  13. Yerrrrr right ! How much of your 20 acres have you got agisted? Maybe you might have room for my 3,500 sheep that I'm hand feeding? You also forgot to tell us the names of the stud sheep you sold ! Barbarra, Ben, Billy ........... Wish I'd talked to you last September. I could have just sold the lot! Then I wouldn't have been like all the other dumb farmers in our area and spent thousands of dollars trying to keep our breeding stock alive. Why worry about the last 25 years of hard work, breeding and planning to achieve the prime flock we now run ? Jesssss I'm dumb!

    Wing Walking Experience Advice

I wish my first Wife had wanted to Wing Walk..........I would have gladly paid someone to let her do it ! Would have been cheaper than my Lawyer!

Is that legal in the US or was it a cowboy pilot ?
  20. I knew the bloke that did the" AHHHHHHH Fosters Lager" voice over for the old Fosters add ! Fosters was the first beer I drank. Back in the 70's it was nearly the most popular beer. We used to drink the old 26 ounce steel cans we nick named " depth charges"........ 3 or 4 and you were blown out of the water
  21. Not sure mate! I think all PCs are linked into the system so information goes to main computer as entered. I will have to ask my Daughter, they may only use laptops for records, cheers.
  22. My daughter is a nurse at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, they record all patient records on to Tablets or Computers . They are available for the patients treatment wherever they are in the hospital. No more paper charts!

    Best seed for grass strip?

Bruce the ideal way to sow you seed is with a small seed drill that places the seed a few milometer's under the soil to germinate so the birds can't find it. Some of the departments like DEPI have them for lend or hire or you may find a neighbour with one that might do it for you. The mane thing is to sow into moisture so the seed germinates and grows after sowing, the best time is around late April early May when the soil is still warm enough to get good seed germination. Good luck, Butch (Sorry Birdseye posted after your post)
