I looked long and hard at Jabs in general and after 3 yrs with other aeroplanes re price and value for money etc and notwithstanding the Jab engine problems still went with the J3300. I subsequently have done the Jabiru engine maint course at Bundy and came away with a more informed appreciation of the engine and saw first hand what some owner/maintainers do. It was an eye opener.Hi Leslie and welcome to the forum. I also fly a J230 and also reckon it's an awesome aircraft.- 1

Thanks al for the welcome!! I bought the 230 for the ease of access to the rear load space and because my wife cannot pack light and lifting the 'kitchen sink' into the luggage space is OK for the likes of me.

Hello Nev, Woodgate is on the coast about 10 minutes flying south of Bundy. Small, 800 or so permanent residents up to 4000 in holidays. Only 30 mins drive to Childers where I have my 'D'.

I did my Jab conversion trg. in a 230C then picked up my 'D' from Jabiru and found the difference in flight to be quite noticeable. I found the 'D' handled more smoothly. I have the 7inch Skyview which took a while to 'find' the readings on the panel but ok with it now.
