  1. After being a radio controlled Aeromodeller for 35+ years I have recently purchased a new Foxbat and took delivery in May 2010. I have my RA pilot Certificate and intend to do the navigation endorsement as the weather improves.I have a property at FINNIS in South Australia with my own airstrip. It is approx 6nm from Goolwa (YGWA) airport.

Completed my RA pilot Certificate at Recreational Pilots Academy near Murray Bridge SA between Jan and May 2010 in LSA Jabiru's.

I enjoy flying the Foxbat around the Murray Mouth and South coast of SA.

Interested in all aspects if Aviation and remain a keen aeromodeller.

    Hi Jmodista,

  2. Thanks for the response Jake. I'm using an IPad, and it won't let me upload photos. I'll get on my PC and send you the photo of the brake rattle fix. Also, does the clock on the D180 in your training machine keep time after switch off and back on?

    Regards

  3. Hi all,

I have a new Foxbat which I flew home from Redcliffe to Atherton in February 2011. Bit of a tough trip home due to weather, but managed to get it home to my Hanger at Atherton Airport on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. I now have 90 hours on it, and fly every weekend weather permitting. It has yoke control and the Dynon D180 screen. I fitted a fuel flow transducer and wired it into the Dynon. Works great. If any Foxbat owners out there have the annoying brake rattle when tasting, let me know and I'll send you a photo of a quick fix. The Dynon won't retain the clock setting. I have to reset at each startup. Is this normal?

How do I put my photo in 'my profile'?

    Regards

    Chad

  4. Foxbat A22LS

Hi, I've just ordered a new A22lS from Peter. This one is being built at the Aeroprakt factory in the Ukraine - I'm not quite sure why they are not sourced from FPNA in Florida now. I've optioned it with control yokes (which gives a centre throttle position), the Dynon D180 FlightDek and Garmin Aera500 GPS. Should arrive late November, and I'll fly it home to Cairns NQ. Although I've got a GA licence, my current experience is 225 hours in a XT912 Microlight, so this will be a new challenge. I'll let you know more about this unique machine as my hours build on it.
