I'd be pretty pissed with myself if I was under 50 and had any of those conditions listed. A lot of them are entirely preventable with good lifestyle choices for those under 50.The list of RAMPC disqualifying conditions is such that if enforced I reckon that half of the public over the age of 50 and at least a quarter under the age of 50 currently driving would have their licences cancelled or restricted.Have a look at them all. It's probably easier to get a class 2. The telling statement relating to these disqualifying conditions is "Has the patient EVER HAD". You may have had something once 30 years ago like a minor TIA & if you admit to it you're stuffed.Recreational pilot medical disqualifying conditions

Says video not available in your country.
I do like the b-29 though.
Here's another cool clip on youtube that is filmed with a bunch of go pros as the guy crawls through the entire plane.

Just had a look at the CASA site for this.SIDS in Cessna, I think we are the only country going down this path for corrosion inspections in Cessna 100 and 200 series of aircraftQuestions and comments on Cessna SIDs | Civil Aviation Safety Authority
Up to $20,000 for the inspection.....DAMN that is steep.!

I've been reading a lot of grumbling about CASA choking GA and being a govt safety organisation that doesnt surprise me. But for the benefit of my newbie self can someone explain exactly what regs have driven up the cost?

Newbie here just popping in to say Hi.
Over the years (I'm 36 now) facination with aircraft has come and gone but after going to this years Airshow at Avalon Ive started looking into the pssibility of trying out flying.
I've now descended into the aviation rabbit hole (and it is deep) researching pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Rather than continuing down the rabbit hole alone and confusing myself I thought I'd register here and have some conversations with people that have done it before.
First impressions are its quite amazing at just how much you can learn about aviation. It could go on forever and become a lifelong journey.
So yeah. Hi....and heres to thousands of dumb noob questions about to come from myself :)

There's also airplane resurrection on Netflix.
Its part resto, part history, part aviation. Good show for those interested in warbirds.
