Hi there.
My name is Rod Skinner and l'm a Kiwi based in Pattaya, Thailand.
Got back into flying 2 or 3 years ago and completed my UPPL a year ago at 61 years young.
Currently flying a CFM Shadow which is unique as it's the only one l know of that is Rotax 912 powered. The company in the UK went bankrupt while building this aircraft some 6 to 8 years ago.
Main project at the moment is building one of Garry Morgan's Sierra 100's.
Flying in Thailand is generally pretty good but there are a few hurdles you have to get over if you want to fly here. Unfortunately you can't just turn up with a license and fly as you have to be a named pilot on the aircraft and this can take several weeks to do.
On the other side there is the night life and l'll say no more.
