Blackhawk
Are there any members who have thought of, or would like to build a Tandem Pilatus PC-9 in either UL or LSA category. I was thinking of 75% scale of the real deal. Any ideas.
Guest Howard Hughes
Will it have a 75% scale turboprop? I would surely be interested then!
Blackhawk
Hi Howard, Yes, it would. Full size is 2.44m, so 75% would make it 1.83m (72") Graeme

sseeker
Hi, Example of a turbine engine for the Zenith STOL, I'm sure something could be done for your 75% Pilatus. Not sure if you're right about it being illegal though Graeme. -Andrew
Blackhawk
That would sure be the ideal engine for the PC-9, but I'm positive your only allowed a piston engine. The big draw back with a Turbine is the fuel bill, at 14gal an hour you would want shares in a fuel company or a money tree in the backyard. I'll stick to 12 litres an hour and a V4.
