Guest ozzie
Hmm, just check all the aerial lead connections are clean tight and free off corroision. same goes for headset jack plugs both the male and female. grab some contact cleaner from 'tricky dicks' turn the volume and other knobs and listen for scratchy noise ect if so give the pots a spray. i_like_planes
If it's a specific sort of sound, and doesn't change a great deal, I wouldn't suspect headsets or audio connections - especially if it's in both headsets. Could be a supply related issue, does the display dim or flicker when you transmit?
