TechMan
For those wishing to import their own BRS/GRS ballistic chutes, please contact RA-Aus before you do. It is a long process and delicate issue and needs to be handled correctly, so as not to spoil it for everyone else. As an individual importer you could end up in hot water with the authorities. Importers have gone to great lengths to ensure that the processes used to import are acceptable to the authorities. My advice is to buy a BRS/GRS from an authorised importer/distributor. pylon500
I take it this is from a pyrotechnic point of view? Arthur.
TechMan
Hi Arthur - correct. From what Lee has told me, an untethered chute (in its packed and compressed form) has the capacity to fire to 10,000 feet from the ground (depending on what charge is used). That's one hell of a punch, which no one will survive if it hits you at close range. Chris
