Guest john Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 A Priest & a Rabbi were seated next to each other recently on an interstate flight. Soon after take off the Priest struck up a conversation with the Rabbi & asked him if it was still a biblical law in the Jewish faith where Jews are prohibited to eat pork. The Rabbi replied that was still 1 of our laws. The Priest was curious & asked the Rabbi if he had ever eaten pork against the Jewish rituals, & the Rabbi stated that on 1 occasion he had eaten a ham sandwich. The Priest nodded in understanding & went on studying his Bible. A short time after this the Rabbi asked the Priest if it is still a law in the Catholic faith for Priests to remain celebant, & in response the Priest stated that this was still forbidden by the Church. The Rabbi then asked the Priest if he had ever fallen to the temptations of the flesh, & the Priest replied that this had happened to him on a number of occasions, which he had sought forgiveness for in the confessional box. The Rabbi responded that he understood the temptations that the Priest had succumbed to, however the Rabbi said to the Priest "Sex beats the hell out of eating a ham sandwich, doesnt't it".
