Groundhog
Wondering what was going on with them, started out as the KC 158 turbine 6 seater kit, Peter Molony was heading up the project. Must have been about 5 years work for him. Next thing I see Innova was in the limelight and everything has gone quiet. Even their emails have gone quiet as well so wondering if they are moving offshore. Huge potential but were flight testing to certification last I heard. Looks like the same way the Delta diesel helicopter went. Interesting to see the moulds for the fusilade up for sale. Bought some low or rebuilt zero time turbines from US a few years back to make up about 10 kits to sell to finance the project and to move it forward. Maybe innova put some money out and return on investment hasnt worked out so selling off their assets. I did send them an email about 3 months ago to see if they were going to avalon but no reply. So see what hapens now. Thanks for the post.
jetboy
had a look around there yesterday not much happening. There was a video once posted with inflight footage of the prang at NE but I cant find it now. They used that footage promoting the sturdy structure etc. and it was informative. There is still some good coverage on Utube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFHEvRGDVi8 who got the black one?
Groundhog
Had a look a the auction and it seems like they are selling off the prototype items. The 2 fusilades are from the ditching in the bay and the prang when the flap link failed and they put it on its side. Same as rhe gearboxs and turbines, so looks like they are having a cleanout. Note that this auction is authorised by the liquidators. Maybe they will phoenix????
Groundhog
Hear on the grapevine that every thing has been moved to america. Shame, another great NZ gone overseas.
