Singapore Airlines will be the first airline in the world to fly the A380 in 2006. The Airline made an order for 25 A380s (10 firm and 15 on option), valued at US$8.6 billion, in 2000.

 

Airbus designed the world?s first truly double-decker aircraft to accommodate 555 seats in the standard three-class setting. Singapore Airlines however, is configuring its aircraft for a more spacious and comfortable flying environment with less than 480 seats.
