This from somewhere else"

Just watching UA 827 (LAX-MEL) N199UA hexcode A18B5D, passing Sydney on route to Melbourne and having a few GPS positioning problems jumping

all over the place. Notice that a few United aircraft seem to be have

the same problem. Must be the long haul over the Pacific that upsets

their homing skills.

Maybe this is what you have seen Chainy, ie, the aircraft are not actually there?

Hey Daz,

I saw that too. But I did watch it all the way to YMML and it looked right. You may note that it was following a 'correct track' too.

yea, that email made me think too.

Then the one you were following was probably right as you say. Yes, I thought you would have got that email too

Dan, various aircraft heading to Melb from the USA have been crossing the QLD coast and heading down via Parkes (PKS) all week. I think it has something to do with the jetstream in the Pacific. The weather in Syd only happened this afternoon. FYI UA827 arrives in Melb each morning.
