I've noticed it happens to quite a few international flights (eg. QF26 & 25 today) - I could explain it better if only I had a basic understanding as to how PP actually works! ie. how it picks up signals from the a/c and turns them into the visual plots and info we see is just a bit beyond me at the moment. Chainy, I still can't believe how sharp that image is Those Piano keys are distracting me I dunno what one to use as a centerline :redface: On another note, I just got a massive tingle up my spine, A Cessna 182 flew over low on dusk and was lit up like a christmas tree. I must say the past two days here has been amazing for spotting. If this action keeps up, I won't get any work done. It's the best spotting I have done since I left Sydney. Just great as they hand over to Melbourne Centre as I watch them go overhead (listening on my scanner). The best one for me was the B742 Dubai 008. It sounded great, even at FL30.
