G'day all

Just letting those in the Maryborough area know that there will be some warbirds from Toowoomba venturing upto Maryborough QLD for the weekend conducting Adventure flights for those willing to occupy the spare seat and enjoy a flight in these old birds.

A T-28 will be there from Midday Approx. toomorrow (FRIDAY 29th May)

Also a CAC Winjeel will be there toomorrow. also there will be possibly another one if not two T-28 Trojans a Yak-52 and a Nanchang ariving on Saturday. So there will be a group of us making some noise and filling the air with the sound of round.

So if you are in the area come and say G'day.

Regards

Scott

Sweet, what luck I will be flying out of Maryborough on Saturday. Will the T-28 be there on Saturday also and how much do adventure flights cost?

It sounds like it is going to be a good day. I'll be going from about 2pm on saturday. Are you flying in?

G'day JL

Sorry for not replying to yours before this but had already left for the trip north. I was in the ground crew ute on the way up and back.

Had a great time. The weather was little ordinary at times but managed to get a few shots in, especially Saturday. The adventure operators did well, and the response was great from the locals.

A big thanks to the Maryborough Aero Club for their hospitality too in both providing food and their facilities saturday evening for a bit of a relax before heading back to our Accom.

operating the adventure flights we had 1 T-28 Trojan a CAC Winjeel and nanchang CJ-6A.

Also from Toowoomba stables we had arrive another 2 T-28's, 1 Yak 52, 1 PAC CT4-E Airtrainer and a Cessna 182. So there was a few of us to make a bit of noise.

I was only there for a few hours on saturday arvo but it sure was good. Those T-28 sure make some noise, would have loved to go for a fly in one. I went flying around 2pm in the Teacnam P-92 echo, you might have seen me. Just wondering, do Aerotec (Hopfuly i got the right name) do conversions from RAA to PPL and if so how much do they charge an hour. I'm looking to migrate into somthing a little bigger in the near future and i'm looking for a good GA school.

  • 2 weeks later...

G'day All and JL

The only thing I could advise mate is that you ring Matt, CFI at Aerotec Flight Training, to discuss what you would like to do. Infact the team will be at Bundaberg Airshow in a few weeks so if you are going to that you might be able to catch up with him there.

And don't those T-28's make some wonderful noise. Forget the drugs, for me Antique and warbird noise gets me high, its an addiction.

here are a couple of shots from the weekend that worked out -
