ben170292 Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 I was watching a few planes land tonight and at about 12am an alarm went off at the airport, I have never heard it before but it was extremely loud, does anyone know what it was for? Pete777 Posted November 14, 2011 Share Posted November 14, 2011 Hi Ben, I wasn't there so can't tell you exactly, but was there a storm in the area ? It could have been the lightening alarm. it's rather loud - like a old air raid sound, and can be heard all over , if it was a terminal evca alarm it's a more piercing sound and is localised to that area. The lightening alarm goes off with when its 5 kms away, to give time for workers to make stuff safe and get under cover. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
