Guest Kevin the Penniless
Yee-Ha! After 10 years on the ground after flying warriors etc. I took a J160 up for half an hour. Under instruction of course. Felt like a raw beginner, never used a stick before and with the right hand, it made for interesting flying. Found the high nose attitude during climb out quite surprising. I was quite nervous which both annoyed and surprised me, the air was reasonable but the little plane seemed to rock and roll a bit. Having to fly a tight circuit caught me a bit off guard, overshot the centre line a bit. The instructor did most of the approach. Anyway, having another shot on Saturday. vk3awa
Kev, There are a few ham/aviators here in Gippsland. I'm not really active except for "computer" modes. I have a "listen" on EchoLink (VOIP). I run APRS in the car and the Jabiru. See my webpage (Daryl's Web Page) to check out my whereabouts on APRS. Good luck with the aviating. Captain
Daryl What is the procedure to have APRS in the aircraft? Kevin TP Having learnt originally on VH, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on your RAA training once you get into it, and how they compare.
