Sounds very nasty.... I hope they are both ok!

A female ultralight pilot broke both her legs when the aircraft she was flying crashed onto a road west of Brisbane this morning.

The aircraft crashed to the ground on Kentville Road at Kentville, near Gatton, just after 11.30am.

The woman's male passenger, who was not injured, managed to call for help.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswomand said the pilot, aged in her 40s, suffered multiple fractures to her legs and would be transported to a Brisbane hospital by the Careflight helicopter shortly.

Ambulance officers and fire crews remain at the scene. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
