Guest landmann
Aloha, What kind of gyro do you fly. I have a Savannah ADV here in Hilo Hawaii. There was a guy with an Aircommand but he crashed a couple of years ago. I guess his control linkage broke. Martin

gofastclint
Hi Martin, I fly an Australian designed and proven Gyro scopic rotor craft 2 seat machine , engine is a Subaru EJ 22. Love the EJ22, in my opinion, the best 4 cylinder petrol motor for light aircraft. Welcome to the forum. I already have a question. Some one told me with a little practice you can put a gyro down gently almost like a helicopter without rolling, is this true?
Tomo
My neighbour's friend landed his Trike like a helicopter.... Full throttle into the wind and he wasn't even moving forward... Yes it was a windy day!

Guest Dellis
Clint. answer is yes,you can land like a helicopter with zero forward airspeed with experience. With good specific gyro instruction, time to practice to build the pilots skills, knoledge of the craft and the right atitude ,they are a ton of fun.
