remember , the exhaust is on one side of the plane on take off and on the other side when landing, a fair ammount of db comes out those massive holes

Great report sue, sounds like aviation business is just like contracting, trucking , and the charter fishing industries. great ways to work really hard invest all your money and stay poor

watch this video again and note the elevator position. hard up for the whole event , this plane was not flying , it was plummeting, there is a difference .

Being of the visually impaired pilot type and recently having to pay for new lenses in order to see anything at all ( instead of fuel for the plane ) I have found my new transition self darkening lenses to make reading LCD type displays (gps etc ) nearly impossible to read or see while flying , low light conditions are not so bad but when its bright and glarey its really bad.. any ideas comments etc, ( other than the obvious ,-- take glasses off, try touch flying, drive instead, get normal lenses, learn braille,) :hittinghead:

Hi my 582 did 800 hours without touching it , ( they are meant to have pistons done at 300 ) the pistons were at maximum wear limits wrist pins too , the roller bearing on the flywheel end of the crankshaft had worn the shaft , I rebuilt it with a 2nd hand 100 hour crank and new non genuine pistons, about $ 900 for parts , done another 100 hours since and no problems, these are good reliable solid motors , just dont run them too lean and dont forget the oil and you will be fine

Hi all , Just finished doing all the registration stuff for this site , so far I think its a great resource for anyone keen on flying definatly one of the best ive seen , thats why I joined . About me I started flying a while ago working toward ppl, cessnas, grummon , mauel. I got a bit miffed with the training reigime and so took a bit of a break from training ,I then became involved with microlights in a roundabout way and bought a b22 bantam , I got back into the study and have now finished my advanced licence , I need a few more hours and will then see if I can complete an instructors rating , ( just for the hell of it) I fly when I can ( work keeps getting in the way ):hittinghead:
