  1. All, We own the aircraft that the reviewer flew and yes it is a fantastic aircraft. We were based in Mt Isa when we first bought, so wanted something that had range, speed and could be parked out. We have not been disappointed on any count and the service out of PG has been great. Probably the best testominal to the aircraft is that my wife who was not a very willing or happy flyer is now learning to fly the Brumby !!!!

  2. Daniel, Glad the visit went well, they are a great aeroplane, did my BFR yesterday and had a great time. Does this mean we will have another Brumby pilot out there ?

    Regards, Tony.

  3. Daniel, You picked the only weekend I won't be here, the aircraft will be and the guys at the factory are nearly always around on a Saturday, if you let them know your interested they would be happy to show you the aircraft. Look for a a review by Australia Aviation in the next month which will feature our aircraft. The contact details that Skydog supplied will put you in touch.

    Regards, Tony.

  4. Hi, I only just noticed this question, so you may already have made a call. I own Brumby 19-5364 and its a great aircraft and the guys at PG Aviation have been real good to deal with. This aircraft was only the third out the door and was based in Mount Isa, we have now moved to Cowra and the aircraft is back here so if you want any other info or a look give me a yell.

    Best Regards, Tony.

  5. Decca, I guess you guys know that there is a Anson sitting in derelict condition at Roma, it and all the remaining parts are for sale, maybe trade, the stub wings, engine and under carriage were/are sitting in a hangar and the fuse is sitting behind the hangar. I was told that the aircraft was owned by former Priemer Joh at one time.

    Regards, Tony.

  6. Maybe not S E Qld, but in the Isa I currently have 2 Winjeels in my shed, 448 & 421 and both are under airworthy restoration. A mate bought 421 after I bought 448. If you are ever out this way give me a yell and all are most welcome to have a look.

    Regards, Tony.

  7. Great looking aircraft, it will take up lots of your time to return it to its former glory. I have Winjeel A85-448 as a long term restoration and a mate and I just bought A 85-421 which I found while looking for parts, it comes with a literal truck load of new/old stock spares. I am also waiting to take delivery of a Brumby so that I can get some flying in while we restore the others. Ex milatary aircraft are some times advertised, a lot is by word of mouth and the guys are a bit slow to let you into the know until they know you are serious about the whole thing. The mix and match of aircraft types ie warbird, ulta light what ever does not seem to worry any one I have come across yet.

    Regards, Tony.

  8. All, Some info and some requests.

I have just returned from a visit to PG Aviation facility at Cowra to check on progress on our Brumby, most impressed by the state of the facility and the build quality going into the aircraft. The quality is excellent.

My problem now is I need to specify panel fit out, initally I said standard instruments, now I am not so sure and would be intrested in hearing from any one on their experience with glass panels ?

I am also still looking for parts or contacts to buy, trade Winjeel parts for the airworthy restoration of A 85-448, so as you guys travel please keep an eye and or ear out.

    Regards, Tony.

  9. Chris, Thanks for the welcome. We are getting # 8 off the line.

Have been looking around for some time and I don't get a lot of time to myself with work etc, so had got to the point of it not being possible for me to build a kit if I want to be able to fly this century. Then went looking for a suitable aircraft to buy. Went to the factory and got to fly the prototype with Phil, the guys went out of their way for us and so far the process has been very good.

After flying the aircraft I had done the deal before we landed, not sure if that answers the question, but that sort of aircraft and that sort of people.

    Regards, Tony.
