Hi Bruce,
I seem to remember a Cri-Cri at the Richmond Bi Centennial.
Pretty sure that was him (1988).

Thanks Geoff and Ian - I'm not in a hurry so it looks like I'll wait for the shop to list them!

The DVD states that I should not use automotive crimp lugs but purchase the specific aviation type as they are superior.
Is that the case and if it is who supplies them?

G'day Greg - welcome - I just ordered a Skyranger Swift kit.

Hi Ozzie - where's the Somersby strip? - I've flown from a turf farm in Somersby under the instruction of Luke Carmody but wasn't aware that there was a dedicated strip.
Do you know the lat. and long.?

Hi Mark - good to see more trikers joining. I haven't got mine yet but the funds are nearly there!
You mentioned problems at YWOL - does that mean Sydney Microlight Centre has disappeared?
Does anyone know if The Oaks also has problems with trikes?

Just caught a quick promo for "Flying Home" on the ABC 7:30pm this Saturday. There appears to be a trike involved which should be enough justification to watch it (for the trike enthusiasts)!

I'm in the same situation at the moment but I won't be doing the flying part for a couple of months.
What I have found to be quite useful is using microsoft flight simulator coupled with Active Sky.
With these I can plan my cross country trips and then fly them using the actual winds aloft - and it does make a huge difference.
My two cents worth....

G'Day all,
I've got a Garmin CS60C that we currently use for geocaching - so it's got the metro maps installed.
Does anyone know if you can install airmaps so it can double as a GPS for my not get purchased trike?
Cheers.........Doug

Thanks for the welcome Chris!
And Chris (trike) I was thinking of the new Outback on the grounds that it would be better for two-up (not the game) but you're probably better qualified to make that call - I was going for the tundra option to maximise my landing options!
Cheers.......Doug

Thanks Chris - nice to see it's achievable!
Have you got the Tundra setup on your Redback?

G'day and happy New Year to all.
My New Year's resolution(s) is to get my trike licence, redundancy, buy a trike and find a cheap property where I can have my own airstrip.
Sadly the last two depend on the redundancy but I'm always optimistic.
I flew Robins at Sydney Aerobatic School and did a bit of training in a Drifter at the Oaks a few years ago and have had a few hours in trikes.

Radio Comparison?
in Engines and Props

Hi - I'm about to build a Skyranger (the kit should arrive June/July) and want to install a panel radio.
Question - with the limited number of choices (and budget) which one/s would you knowlegable people recommend?
Conversely - which one/s should I steer clear off!
Cheers.........Doug
