  1. http://www.dailyliberal.com.au/story/1139644/plane-lucky-pilot-and-passenger-walk-away-from-crash/?cs=112 Some more photos of the Cirrus and story which follows.

I do wonder how rough this paddock would of been to land in, large enough, would of been bumpy, lose landing gear anyway, less more damage than using chute, more injury or less ? no one will know. I guess, had he not used chute and forced landing was worse off, people would of asked, why not use chute!

    So many questions to ponder!

    Either way. well done!

  2. Thanks for comments Linda.. I used a Contour Nflight cam GPS , it has audio jack in bottom of camera, also has cable/adaptor which plugs directly into cockpit audio, then headset into that adaptor. The camera is 1080P HD also! I thought the Go pro 2 also recorded audio, has jack in side camera. I have Go pro original, noticed coudnt really record audio, so found the Contour camera. http://www.nflightcam.com/ hope this helps.. Dave

  4. Less than a month away now until Bathurst Races, do we have any keen flyers coming in for the week/Day's.

Looking to be a massive year, 50th Anniversay this year. Could imagine the air traffic this year will be fantastic!

I also run Live radio scanners for the event, from Race control, V8 Teams, Air traffic and the normal emergency services as well.

All links can be found at my webpage www.bathurstscan.com Race control etc will be added during first practice sessions around Oct 4th.

With my 2 weeks standard off work, hope to also fly during this week before airspace becomes clogged with arriving traffic.

  5. Pilotdave, just how cold is it in that general area? Should I be bringing the fleece?

The temps out there can be warmer than Bathurst, says on weatherzone, 18 - 22, down to 5 deg, pending if you stay at night.! Worth bringing something warm if a cold breeze whips up, which is possible!

  6. Hey all, looking to be flying from Bathurst in a Jab 170 reg 7750 , Friday 14th! All three aircraft will be arriving ! Look forward to the day! Pending wx of course! Those who want to meet up, Pm me with your mobiles..
