Fire resistant clothing together with all the passive fire retardants measures that can be built into any recreational aircraft is likely the best way to proceed.. and maybe a couple of these masks/hoods in the door pockets as well as leather rigger/safety gloves would not be a bad idea if one was to be found in such an unfortunate situation

IIRG the Jabiru starter motor’s original overrunning clutch assembly was a Honda 31207-ZE3-003 Clutch Over Running GX390 available from Honda small engine stores, Honda marine stores, and the internet.. Replaced one, a few years ago, at around 500+ hours in a J430.

A panel mounted rotary switch is a common method used in recreation aircraft, Microair and other brands have info on their sites. eg Microair 760P and UHF adaptor ~

Many Jabiru's with dual Microair VHF coms' utilise a simple panel mounted 2 or 3 position rotary switch to select Com 1 or Com 2.. Switching PTT, Mic, Tx interlock and remotes.. Maybe see Microair for some guidance and check with Trig as well.. Microair - M760 Transceiver Wiring Harness | Products

Jabiru Au - has a modification procedure for their 12 pole alternator upgrading it's useful rpm charging range, and they have released an Engineering Report to this effect.

Basically this involves changing the present stator winding's terminations from a parallel connection to a series configuration, and this should produce 12 volts @ 900 rpm instead of 12 volts @ 1800 rpm, and may assist with battery charging during low rpm operations although limited.
