  1. Thanks Zyg, yeah I installed the cable operated brakes and was never happy, hydraulic brakes are great, I don't need them and always happy to help out another Drifter Pilot.I've added an orbit of your house to my usual coastal run just to let you know I'm out there, I hope you neighbours don't mind too much. I hope the New Year has begun well for you and I look forward to another jolly about the place when you are up for it. Hey, fancy a run over to KI in the coming weeks ?

Absolutely, been thinking of goin' over to American river for months.Soon as this weather settles down we'll do it.(must give the machine it's 100 hourly some time this week)

  2. Timbo,I've just done a gbox oil change on my 582 & the rotax manual says to use either SAE 140 EP or 85W 140 EP.I used the Castrol 85W as it's been in this engine for 780 hrs & wear seems minimal.Cheer's,Zyg.

  3. I'd hazard a guess at a marine shop, they do carry the one's fitted to my Lightwing..........................Maj...024_cool.gif.7a88a3168ebd868f5549631161e2b369.gif

Thank's Maj,tried that, but all they had was a new marine plastic cap & flange which would mean removing the old alloy flange,& that's glassed into the tank ,so I'll probably get one machined up as Mr Drifter USA suggests.Cheer's.

  4. A few years ago I lost two fuel caps in a row and I still have no idea why. I had one remaining from a stored belly tank which I took to a local machine shop and the owner created an exact copy. This is in Georgia in the US, so I assume you have more economical alternatives locally. And yes, the holes were added for a lanyard ...

Thank's mate, seems like the way to go.Good photo,I'm guessing the RH one's the original?
