  1. Was there in 1978 and always remember seeing this huge graffiti sign on a 2 story brick wall near the boat ramp, "Hitler banned marches too", they must have had a ladder to do it. Always had this vision of a hippie walking up to the wall carrying his ladder and paint tin in the middle of the night.

Anyway, im surprised they are allowed to protest march here in this state, [thats WA] considering its being run by a mod of Nazi's. Thats the puppets in suits i'm refering too.

  2. Ditto from me, Riley.

And to turbo, When you get a call from a Journalist there's no time to come up with a word perfect teflon comment, well yes, its two words "no comment" .

Maybe a good time for RAA org to remind members correct reporting procedures[pronto]. No comment to any one other than irrelvent people and let them do thier jobs.

A lot of good men and women have worked hard for the privelages we have today, so every time i hear of person/s doing something not to our laws, correct procedure, common sense etc i feel we are letting them down. $%it happens and we all have made bad decesions, dont let the hole get deeper.

  3. Go with what your heart feels, is the advice i was given today by a RPT pilot today. Sounds like you enjoy flying the J160.

Also may depend on what you maybe flying after your training.

I personally believe it would be easier and quicker to convert from J160 to CZAW Sportscrusier than vice versa.

  4. Thanks for the link John, just saved to my favourites.[was going to subscribeto casa] A lot off good articles to be read.

Brilleintsite is the raa, and great to see they have not changed the web format but always updating information, really should use the site more.

Who ever done all that great work should give them self a pat on the back, job well done.

  5. What engines would you be looking at to have simular weight to power ratio that would be sufficent as a replacement to the 447 and 503 which production cease2009/10, with 10yrs of shelve parts, after that private sellers. Will these aircraft disappear with ther engines.

10 to 15 yrs they probably have small turbine engines for LSA. cheers trevor

  6. You have posted the circuit training vid before and i must honsetly say that its the best vid i've seen and as far as the comments on strange music , i thought it complimented it perfectly.

As you say "it's all personal to which does it for each".

I was going to [and should have] mention before that comment to cloudsick that its personal taste.

  7. Quote

"if we had a rudder (or front wheel) position indicator on the panel in front of the pilot"

My instructor told me it's called the ball.

The jab 160 i've trained in always turned port or starborad when applying brake. It was unpreditictable which brake that would seem to crab more than the other. As it starts to grab you release a bit off pressure then reapply to get a more central breaking effect.

Not having used toe brakes on a plane, but would i be right in saying that having used both , most would choice toe over hand break.

  8. Why does every one ruin there clips by dubbing over the beautiful sound of a aeroplane engine with music.

Are they aeroplane video clips or aeroplane video music clips.

I turn the sound down, but still does'nt do much for me.

Other than that, thanks for the camera work.

    Trevor.

    p.s. i dont feel old...

  9. Just got home from transfering passengers from the domestic side across to RAAF side of Learmonth airport, to board the Qantas 767 to take pax to Perth, it had to park there because the domestic apron had the A330 which fell 8000m plus a national jet ba-e146 which was getting front window replaced[which happened the day before] and a small twin and a cessna 172 plus a RFDS [1st of 5 that turned up] which left just enough space for the Qantas 717 that also came to ferry pax to Perth. I heard 20 pax req hospital treatment and another 20 recieved 1st aid at airport.

Exmouth hospital only had 9 beds available and 2 doctors. Exmouth township is 38km north of Learmonth RAAF base.

Couple of gents on the bus was talking about how inside the plane it looked like a bomb had gone off from all the mess, i said to them it must have been pretty horrific, he said it was bloody terrifying. He was saying to a few "did you see that old lady who was stuck to the ceiling for ages" i said "we will have to call her velcro" didnt get any smiles.

Anyway it was good to see all the VOLUNTEER'S Ambo's,SES and Fire'ies doing a good job, and also hats off to the flight crew.

My tip for the day, If your flying or driving "Buckle Up" Trevor.

  10. "a Shapphire that sort of works "

    Icebob,

I have a Sapphire that i down loaded several yrs ago that works fine [but is FS 2004] but it did take a few hrs to learn to fly as it is very sensitive in pitch and quite a slippery little aircraft to fly. Im soon to upgrade my computer and buy FSX and was wondering if i would be able to load the same Sapphire file into FSX, as this is my favourite a/c. The Sapphire file i have is by Mark Dickinson and i cant remember where i d/l it from but at the Sapphire web site there is a link but it does not seem to work.

Down loaded the Jab last night but did not think much of it but still need to try the updates for it . Thanks for the link for i had looked once before but unable to find.

    cheers Trevor.
