  1. Finally, ... the two shows were made by Jeff Watson Productions ,,, i.e. not part of Jeffs previous association with Beyond International.

As far as I can tell there is no website, so I can't determine whether this is a series or not ... but my hunch is unlikely.

Oh well, they were both great although I am disappointed that there was no reference to G.A. --- we have glass now you know!

  2. Ok, here we go ..

there is a series called the Boneyard that originates from the History

Channel - U.S. In its episodes it covers the different forms of transport including an episode similar to the one we have seen, though had several errors in it.

The Beyond International site - where I thought it may originate doesn't list it either - though my gut feel says it is. Jeff Watson has been with them for years - since the original Towards 2000.

However, here is a link that describes many of the boneyards ---> http://www.visi.com/~jweeks/boneyard/

... and finally - TopTorrents have the Boneyard listed for download.

  3. My guess is that it would be a special, I doubt whether there would be enough mileage for a series.

Also, does anyone remember where the commercial aircraft spend their retirement. Until now I thought they were all at the same place .. also out in the desert ... apparently not!

I know that some end up down Florida way on some island but as far as I know that is a result of drug trafficking and interceptions but that's not where I'm thinking.

  4. That's awful

It makes you wonder what motivates people to do such a thing and to have the expectation that they will actually get away with it *gasp*.

Maybe there is also a legal case for 'misrepresentation' as well, since the sale of an item .. any item .. is subject to the Trade Practices Act.

Sue 'em I say .. and get your 800nm of costs back!

  5. Hey Tony,

Welcome! And you're another Brissy boy it seems ... I'll have to do some yellin' to ppl down here to even the score up a bit :)

But indeed, enjoy your trip with us - there is much to see.

    Ian.

  6. Hey Pedro, welcome to our side of the world! We fly upside down you know .... just kidding 022_wink.gif.2137519eeebfc3acb3315da062b6b1c1.gif

The pictures are nice but where was the infamous Queensland sunshine ... must have been AWOL.

Criminal Justice ay? Seems a lot of people have chosen that route of study. Maybe its partially due to the influence of the plethora (my big word for the day) of TV shows like CSI, Law & Order etc.

Anyways, enjoy your stay with TAA ... (hey now that rhymes, could be a jingle)

    Regards ...

  7. Hello everyone,

I'm Ian - another aviator who wishes he had a money tree in the backyard!

TAA - sounds awfully familiar, maybe cos I'm a 'mature' guy - with momentary lapses of silliness. But then again it may have something to do with having a handful of TAA whizzle sticks (drink stirrers for those that don't know) graciously pilferred from the ol' Trans Australia Airlines *sigh*.

So, about me - well just a little ... Started flying in my late teens and got to first solo ... then the money tree snuffed it ... something to do with other lifestyle activities I suspect. Got back to flyin' again in my mid 30's and completed PPL, altho all a bit on and off - but it was fun for 6 yrs. Should mention it was due to a friend I had lost contact with who was flying at the time and who convinced me to go on a trip to King Island. There's only so much one can handle when in the front right hand seat ... I think 'gimme gimme gimme' were the words at the time! Then onto another hiatus ..

Back again for another bash in '04, onto CPL theory - now all done, and currently finishing off the navex's - yay! Then onto an Instructor Rating :)

Types I hear you ask ? Currently in Cessna 182T's - very nice indeed with the Garmin G1000 glass thingamajig .. and a rate to match! But have also done C172, C150 :? (a little bit, too much like a ping pong ball for moi), Piper Warrior, Arrow and Saratoga.

Now training out of GFS at MB - gosh knows I've been everywhere else - tho I do miss the burgers and Sunday roast meals at Berwick. I can even say I started at Tooradin - eons ago, and have a trophy to prove it!

Well that's about it for now - back to some study
