I have made up my mind and i am defiantely going to go for the VR 80-400mm its massive which i like and it has the Image stabiliser so its good for spotting :mrgreen:

I was thinking of buying a Sigma 80-400mm VR or a 50-500mm. I like the VR (Image Stabliliser) but is it really that great?

Hey mate i live in newcastle and i fly out at the RAAF base. Its a little hard to get in but if you do its great and cheap. The people are a bit grumpy but you can handle it. or i would suggest the one out at Maitland or Cessnock flighting school they are both about the same price but i would be leaning towards maitland because its not as far.

Thanks tim next time i see one i will definately pull in for a coffee. I had a look at Brisbane and unfortunately there is no Hudsons :( but they do have an aroma http://www.bne.com.au/graphics/popups/aromas.jpg so i will definately give them a go. I always like a nice coffee!
