I think I must of seen this question posted on every aero forum in the last couple of years. The point is it is a riddle. It is worded in such a way that there are several possible interpretations. I witnessed a couple of mates get so worked up over this they came to blows. It was so funny and so sad at the same time. Short answer is there is not enough information in the question. (But I think the plane will take off!!)
