  1. Hi all, Long shot I know, but would anyone know of anyone who might have a spare trim cable available for a J-160. The urgency is that it is holding up training at a flight school. Happy to pay air freight, etc if one available quicker than getting it from Jabiru QLD. Thanks in anticipation….

  3. Hi Guys, Apologies if this question has been asked before, but section 12.4, 2.1 of the RA-AUS technical manual Issue 4.1 March 2021 states the following: “2.1 Altimeters must be checked every 2 years against a currently certified altimeter (a LAMEs test equipment) or other appropriate test equipment (e.g. a water manometer and scale, or a wide area augmentation system (WAAS) compatible GPS) and must not deviate by more than +/- 100 feet, up to the maximum normally expected operating altitude of the aircraft.” My question is this: is it possible to use a WAAS compatible GPS for this purpose in Australia? A Google search seems to indicate that the WAAS system is USA based only. Apparently there is a new system in Australia called the “National Positioning Infrastructure Capability (NPIC) but I can’t see any information as to whether WAAS enabled GPS’s can utilise this infrastructure. Thanks in anticipation. Phil
  4. Hi, I'm trying to source 2" (51mm) flexible (orange) ducting suitable for use in negative pressure applications, such as the hose which connects between the air intake and the carbies on my Rotax 912A. I have an AD which says I can't use the "Aeroduct SCAT" hoses because they are not suitable for negative pressure applications. Thanks in anticipation, Phil
  5. Yeah, it’s awesome for sightseeing along the spectacular Esperance coastline! Thanks for the best wishes…

  8. Hi Everyone, I have recently purchased an SP2000, but it does not have the nosewheel spat - looking to see if I can either buy, build or modify one. Apparently it's the later spat I need not the earlier one. The factory says their mould was destroyed in the flood a while back so they can't make me one. Thanks for any help. Cheers....Phil

  10. Hi, I dived on this wreck yesterday in Tahiti. It looks a little like a Catalina but the bottom part of the fuselage is buried in the sand so I couldn’t see if it had the round holes for the retracted wheels… can anyone confirm?
  11. Yeah, it’s a very old photo, probably taken by my father who was a missionary in those days in the far eastern WA goldfields, north east of Laverton. Possibly the 50’s or early 60’s.
  12. Thanks, reckon you’re right - Piper Tri Pacer. Cheers
  13. Hi, can anyone ID this aircraft for me please?
