  1. Hi Ed, Happy New Year to you and yours. No, I'm not back yet, still in the Territory but will be returning on Jan 12th having finished with this job as I miss my plane too much. I just need to buy 6 bolts to hold the prop on and it will be ready to start the noisy bit and get on with testing and registration. I'm eally looking forward to that!!! I hope you are well and how's the CFI adventure progressing? Looking forward to catching up with you soon after I get back (probably should say 'hi' to the missus first though). Fondest regards, Ron.
  2. mark, Thanks a heap for the tips. Your photo log is great and will be a great help to me. Where do I look for clecos and the tool? I was considering yellow. What settled you on it and which paint did you use? Are you happy with 80 hp? Blue skies, Ron.
  3. Hi Ed, It's been a few weeks; how are you. Well, I did it. I have a Savannah VG XL kit coming, should arrive mid to late January. Yep, decided to build it myself - early onset of dementure! Happy as a dog with 2 dicks! Had a great flight to Lake Mungo a couple of weeks back. Renee & I stayed a couple of nights. Expensive accommodation but a great first trip for the girl. Blue skies, Ron.
  4. :hi:Hi, My name is Ron and I have recently obtained my RAAus Pilot Certificate at Murray Bridge, SA in a Jabiru 160. My aim is to acquire a Savannah or similar and become a new-age Gray Nomad flying the length and breadth of the country with my wife, Renee, camping along the way. Hoping to use, and be of use to, the forums as my flying experience increases. Blue skies and happy landings to all.
