My question would be how many hours did the instructor have on type?Without wishing to denigrate anyone here,the "system" allows instructors to endorse people on an aircraft type without having even flown the aircraft type themselves! I know nothing about this aircraft but a quick check of the Internet shows it has a high wing loading so that means extra vigilance when flying this type.My condolences to all involved.

I see RAAus has relisted the CFI and Instructor lists.This may help potential students to decide where to learn to fly and who to teach them.It's a good idea if you want to find and contact instructors with a good reputation in your area.A positive step towards better training.

So if your a "contractor" as an RAA instructor there are some serious insurance concerns and costs.

Thanks for the replies,guys.One would think that you would come under a specific award of some description.The GA award does not really apply as it is GA and the Instructor levels are not applicable to RAA operations.

Was just wondering whether or not there is some sort of award covering RAA instructor pay or is it just a matter of what you can negotiate?

Remember there are 2 VTC's for the BNE area.The other one covers OAKEY and goes as far west as Dalby.It also covers Rocky.
