Yep your right, it was hung up after a misson out to the Delamere range and let go as the aircraft was returning back to Darwin. Rumour has it the guy who owned the landcruiser was about to go into town when it struck. Would have beenquite a suprise to say the least.

At this stage it will be around mid April, the wife wants to do a road trip to see the family and I was going to pick up the drifter on the way home, works out well for me, the missus can be my ground supportNo walking for fuel for me.

 

 

Looks great, I would love to have a drool over her when I come down to pick up the drifter.

When are you planning on doing your trip?, I have just bought a plane on the east coast and will be ferrying her home to Darwin in April.

 

I am going to get a asic card just in case. The last thing that I want is any hassle while on the great adventure. The plane is currently

 

in Bundy and I am looking forwards to getting her up north and flying some of the top locations that we have up here.

 

Anyway, have a top trip.

 

 

I have just joined the site, I used to fly drifters years ago, owned a wire braced 503, haven't flown for a while ( last flight in 98 ), got a chance to go for a flight a couple of months ago in a Jabiru and the flying bug has bitten good and hard again. Pulled out the logbook, blew the dust off and have been training whenever I can. Love the info and the forums on this site.
