  1. That twin bee photo, there was a gentleman that left a comment on one of the posts on our site, he said he was a test pilot for twin bee...that't a very cool plane! Our site has been well received so far. We will keep it updated!
  2. That's a cool pdf! Looks to be making a list and noting any Seabee they saw, I've never seen that document before. This alone makes this post worth it! Funniest one in there is the Hull of a Seabee that they converted into a boat!
  3. Yeah, same company that built the P-47! Republic SeaBee, originally had a Franklin (215 hp) on it. This one has the STC for the GO-480; with that motor, 4 pax, cruise about 115 at 75%. Gross weight is increased to 3250 from 2190. Should be a solid performer!
  4. Hey guys, new to this forum and wanted to "show off" our new project and maybe give others a chance to see our aircraft restoration if interested! I decided to take a plunge and start an airplane project this last year. I purchased a Seabee (project in progress) last sprint out of Fairbanks and as of a few weeks ago I finally started. I don't know if this is breaking any forum rules, but if anybody is interested, I started a website/blog documenting my progress: http://tugmoe.com/knier-seabee/ I plan on posting something each week giving updates in the hopes of getting other interested folks a place to read about another project. I also plan on scanning the copious amounts of paperwork I "inherited" when I bought the plane in the attempt to get everything in digital format for others that might have similar interests or projects. If you're interested, drop in and take a look. Feel free to leave comments, questions, guidance, expertise, or anything that might trip your trigger. Again, mods, if this is against any rules (I'm not selling anything) feel free to delete this post. Take care, Jason
