Great appreciate the help. BobYou need the wing mod I will go into more detail tomorrow. -
Good day, can anyone tell me if they have ever rebuilt the wings on a chinook w t-11 single. Iam looking at buying a chinook this week. Has 384 hours always hangered but was built in 1983, was first chinook on floats by the factory owner. The second owner has had it since 1984 and it is mint condition. A challenger pilot told me to watch out as wing leading edge will warp close to VNE. Has anyone added extra bracing to a chinook wing or rebuilt with new aluminum. Any info would be greatly appreciated from someone whos had one of these. Regards Lobster Bob, Canada

Good day. Did you get to Toronto in February? If not let me know as I can recommend a great uncontrolled airport and good pilots to guide you around. Not far from Niagara Falls etc. CheersHelloI may be in Toronto in February and would be interested in going flying in a recreational aircraft. I have a GA licence and a RA-Aus Pilot Certificate.A dual flight is fine. Can anyone provide some info as to locations, recreational aircraft, rates etc?
Thank you

Great to hear mate it must be very scary. Looks like you are not far from the Ocean. Beautiful country. CheersBob,This time, thankfully, no!....I`ve been through 5 Cyclones, my first was at 9 years of age....Our Cyclone season doesn`t officially end until the end of April so there`s still the possibility I may have to add another one...The yellow pins inside the blue line is our property so we get knocked around a bit when a Cyclone hits the area.- 1

Rugged radios have some very good sets in the US the set I got is fantastic and I use hearing aids in normal life but they are not needed at all with the rugged set,.
Welcome aboard, I am a new member myself. I have been using a soft comm headset from aircraft spruce aviation supply company since 2007 it rugged, comfortable, reasonably priced. Wore it 5 hour cross country no pain. Company is in California. Give one a try. Cheers BobHey All,After 41 years after getting my PPL and not continuing to fly, I'm jumping in head first once again. I've taken my first lesson and am hooked once again. Can I get some recommendations of an affordable yet good quality headset? I'll be flying 172's for the moment. Thanks!

Quite a collection of snakes, fascinating from a distance. Hopefully in a few years we will come to Australia for a visit and maybe you could show me a real one. It would be exciting to fly there. Are you being effected by the cyclone? Hope not. Cheers Frank BobBob, I`m not sure what type it is.Take a look here. Far North Archives - What Snake Is That -
Is that a king brown? Lordy it is big. Good thing you never stepped on that thing. I used to live in British Colombia Canada and we had rattlesnakes but you have 10 of the deadliest. Wow Thanks for the pics. BobLike this one?.....Nothing to be afraid of!... ... ......I took this photo on a hike,on Russell Island, 9 days ago...My mate John, almost stepped on it.

It would be great to visit and fly around different places. I don't know about hiking I'm afraid of snakes LolG`day Bob, ......I`m a recreational pilot also, starting way back from the early days of the Australian Ultralight Federation (AUF)...In the last couple of months, I`ve taken some Canadian backpackers flying in my Drifter...I fly from my own property, here at Deeral, NTH Queensland. -
Sounds good sometime we plan on visiting your great country. Thanks BobIf you make it to here there's quite a few steam rails still running in a number of different gauges. Around Melbourne Victoria there are at least five tourist rail associations. -
Appreciate the welcome. I will be retiring in 18 months. It will be a sad day as I love railroading but then I will have more time to fly and travel. I hope to take my grandchild up this summer. Which railroad are you working, I knew a hogger from Queensland Rail, Mike Torrens but lost contact with him after I moved in2010. Keep in touch. Cheers BobHello Bob and welcome, you won't be the only train driver on here, oops sorry, locomotive engineer but I can tell you its way more fun in the air than leaving it I 8 notch. Enjoy -
Welcome old timer. Iam 62 just finished pilot training 2 years ago, it never too late. Cheers BobOld timer just starting in this great flying category.Cheers -
Hello, I'm a recreational pilot living in Oakville, Ontario Canada and love flying and hanger talk. I am presently negotiating to purchase a Challenger 11 advanced ultralight. I would like to hear about and someday fly in Australia. For you railroad enthusiast I have been a railroader for almost 40 years mostly as an locomotive-engineer. Please drop me a line and say hello. Bob
