  2. Great appreciate the help. Bob
  3. Good day, can anyone tell me if they have ever rebuilt the wings on a chinook w t-11 single. Iam looking at buying a chinook this week. Has 384 hours always hangered but was built in 1983, was first chinook on floats by the factory owner. The second owner has had it since 1984 and it is mint condition. A challenger pilot told me to watch out as wing leading edge will warp close to VNE. Has anyone added extra bracing to a chinook wing or rebuilt with new aluminum. Any info would be greatly appreciated from someone whos had one of these. Regards Lobster Bob, Canada
  4. No worries, let me know when you are coming and I will recommend a good airfield. Cheers
  5. Good day. Did you get to Toronto in February? If not let me know as I can recommend a great uncontrolled airport and good pilots to guide you around. Not far from Niagara Falls etc. Cheers
  6. Great to hear mate it must be very scary. Looks like you are not far from the Ocean. Beautiful country. Cheers
  7. Welcome aboard, I am a new member myself. I have been using a soft comm headset from aircraft spruce aviation supply company since 2007 it rugged, comfortable, reasonably priced. Wore it 5 hour cross country no pain. Company is in California. Give one a try. Cheers Bob
  8. Quite a collection of snakes, fascinating from a distance. Hopefully in a few years we will come to Australia for a visit and maybe you could show me a real one. It would be exciting to fly there. Are you being effected by the cyclone? Hope not. Cheers Frank Bob
  9. Is that a king brown? Lordy it is big. Good thing you never stepped on that thing. I used to live in British Colombia Canada and we had rattlesnakes but you have 10 of the deadliest. Wow Thanks for the pics. Bob
  10. It would be great to visit and fly around different places. I don't know about hiking I'm afraid of snakes Lol
  11. Sounds good sometime we plan on visiting your great country. Thanks Bob
  12. Appreciate the welcome. I will be retiring in 18 months. It will be a sad day as I love railroading but then I will have more time to fly and travel. I hope to take my grandchild up this summer. Which railroad are you working, I knew a hogger from Queensland Rail, Mike Torrens but lost contact with him after I moved in2010. Keep in touch. Cheers Bob
  13. Welcome old timer. Iam 62 just finished pilot training 2 years ago, it never too late. Cheers Bob
  14. Hello, I'm a recreational pilot living in Oakville, Ontario Canada and love flying and hanger talk. I am presently negotiating to purchase a Challenger 11 advanced ultralight. I would like to hear about and someday fly in Australia. For you railroad enthusiast I have been a railroader for almost 40 years mostly as an locomotive-engineer. Please drop me a line and say hello. Bob
