Cool places to fly to from Caloundra QLD
DC16 replied to WetBlanket's topic in AUS/NZ General Discussion
It's fantastic, flown in there on a fly in around 15 months ago. Owners of the airport Ross and Dianne (it is private) are great people as well. Once there, you can fly a number of places, including over most of the islands, Heart Reef and Whitehaven Beach. -
So, it's a good runway to learn on?
-
Yes, nice at Tyabb :) I normally fly Friday arvos, when do you fly in, what do you fly, and what is your partner's plane?

Will hopefully be okay, DAME was okay with it. Spoke to AVMED today, hope to get the certificate next week, fingers crossed.

Low level Circuits and Solo Circuits

Bruce, google the problem on gopro forum, I found the 64gb card gave me the same problem, and it was fixed with the 32gb card ... -
Hi All Thanks for acknowledgement :) Sorry IBob, I had to google Foxbats, I wasn't sure what they were, so if they are prominent around here, I am oblivious. I am flying at Tyabb, we primarily have the 152 Cessnas which luckily handle some of the "not so great" landings pretty well... I am looking forward to down the track doing more than circuits just so I can take a little time to enjoy the view, also looking forward to flying with the young bloke, At the same time, I am also aware it is important to get the training, get it right, etc Will log on regularly and post. Another newcomer ... I had 5 hours of lessons 3 years ago, then stopped for a number of reasons. Now back into it again at the ripe young age of 50, weekly lessons where I can and hoping to obtain cross country ticket eventually... Bonus is my 17 YO son is also taking lessons :)
