Looks like most of the starboard wing was still well attached, although according to the Southside Sentinel, "...the plane hit the tops of two tall trees, clipping off portions of the wings..."
They had apparently conducted an intersection departure from the field, using only 1200ft out of 2200 total. Apparently that isn't enough with pilot + 2 pax and a recent refueling.
Disaster averted; only minor injuries result from plane crash at Hummel

From their website, they list a GM LS3 6.2L V8 with 300hp as an option. (Titan Aircraft - T-51D Mustang)the biggest engine going into the T51 is the honda V6They also only list the Honda V6 as 245hp.
It's pretty, and I want one!

Unfortunately the only bit that is English seems to be a summary on page 8.In the English link that Jaba provided, there's a link to the final report in PDF format - but it's all written in Swedish! To [insert favorite translation software here]!

From the video description again, try: Investigations - Serious incident involving a Saab MFI-15 and a hanggliderDoes anyone know if any form of investigation was done and if so what the explanation for the event was. I can speculate on any number of scenarios where either of the participants was in the wrong or where either of the participants were in the right and it was just bad luck.Would be nice to know if there was an explanation. If it'll let me post links... I'll find out :)

The description on the Youtube video notes that: "... - We do not use the weak link. ..."efore we all imagine the parapilot being wound down into the prop of the plane we should keep in mind that all tow cables have a weak link close to the towed aircraft - just a piece of thin thread of known breaking strain, probably about 150kg for a paraglider - that breaks in just such an event as this might have been.Hopefully the pilot would have been able to actuate the release and have the release work if there had been contact.
The description also states "The pilot of the aircraft never perceived the event."

Oz runways question
in Instruments, Radios and Electronics
Posted
G'day ClintonB,
If you double tap the home button you should get a list of recent applications. Then swipe up on the application (the OzRunways "window") and it should close the application and clear it from memory.
This will stop it from requesting precise location from the device and draining your battery. However if you're in the middle of planning a nav this may clear any unsaved data though.
Cheers
