  1. Noise and privacy matters may be contentious. A single seater avoids a lot of loadshift complications. There must still be things to know about the air you're working in.  Effect of local winds , climbing away downwind etc.   IF it has a self landing ability maybe the medical can be relaxed????? Nev

  2. The potential reliability is worth pursuing. Early products won't be cheap but prices always go down with numbers built. Pistons in the commercial area are almost gone and good riddance I say. For US though, provided we realise ALL our engines can fail at any time and fly accordingly it's not the immediate answer. Electric will be part of the mix long before a fossil fuel expensive motor. It's great to see an improved efficient principle being developed. Up till now it's been bypass ratio and turbine blade temps and variable incidence guide vanes etc. Nev
