Mark, Might be worth following up OAMPS Aviation - they used to insure trikes - had my first trike insured with them (theft/fire/driving) about 7 or 8 years ago ... paid the premium for a couple of years, then decided it was a bit of a waste of money - so stopped ... of course ... about 18 months later trike gets knocked off out of the driveway, never to be seen again. The OAMPS website still specifically mentions sports and experimental aircraft, ultralights and hang gliders .. but doesnt say anything about trikes David

Bluey - mainly flying out of a grass strip up near Lithgow - don't fly out of Wollongong much now ... its easier to chase the cows off the strip up here than to get through the gates and padlocks down at YWOL .. David

Bluey, Your old trike just ticked over 1500 hours on a flight this morning . That new motor you put on it hasn't missed a beat ! (I think that must make me it's 5th owner) David

Hi ... I am looking at possibly purchasing a microlight with a Rotax 582 that has been sitting unused in a garage for about 2-3 years, so I need to have the motor stripped right down, inspected, and serviced. I am Sydney based - so has anyone got any any suggestions or recommendations on where I could get this done locally ? ... or am I stuck with shipping it to Melbourne to the Rotax distributor down there ????

Learn't to fly trikes with Paul and Ned at Albion Park a few years ago and spent a couple of years wandering around the sky in an Airborne 503 Wizard. Have been grounded for the last two years after someone knocked the trike off from my driveway (who would have thought i_dunno !?) - but am getting itchy to get a replacement trike and start flying again.
